DDS were contracted by Smurfit Kappa Townsend Hook to demolish a redundant boiler, turbine and a 33mm high steel chimney, alongside general site clearance. The works included progressively dismantling both the boiler and turbine using 'hot works' methodology, a high precision process requiring a strict permit to work system. The works undertaken were of a sensitive nature due to the paper mill remaining live during operations

Denne and their long-term strategic partner Housing 21 secured one of the largest Non HRA PFI projects in the country. The biggest PFI of this kind will see Denne deliver 3 Extra Care schemes, 4 homes for people with Learning Difficulties and a Mental Health unit across 7 sites.
Former Sun Chemical Plant

DDS completed the asbestos removal, demolition and site clearance of the former Sun Chemicals site in Watford, the works consisted of the demolition of a large number of steel, concrete and brick structures along with a 120ft high brick chimney, leaving 11000 m3 of crushed arisings on site for the client to re use as part of the site remediation that followed.

DDS commence the 4th and final phase of the asbestos removal and demolition at Parkwood, Maidstone, Kent. The complete contract consisted of the removal of 9 blocks of flats and 20 maisonette's making way for Kier in partnership with Maidstone Housing Trustfor further regeneration of the area.
